PATTERN INKLE LOOM WEAVING:  THE BALTIC STAR Intermediate to advanced

 If you have done some inkle weaving, perhaps taken a basic class in this technique, and you now want to improve your skills, this is the class for you.  You will learn to do the Norwegian Star or Baltic Star pattern.  This will enable you to master pick-up weaving.  Drafting and converting patterns will also be discussed.  This class will help you take your weaving skills to the next level.

 Prerequisite skills:  Some experience with Inkle weaving, ability to set up loom

 Pre-class homework:  Bring 31 heddles (minimum) for loom

 Students bring:  Loom, thread, weaving tools, and at least 31 heddles.  Looms will be available for use and purchase at the fiber fest.  Students will need 2 to 4 colors of thread.  Any fine cotton yarn is okay including 10/2 weaving cotton and crochet cotton.

 Materials fee: $15 for patterns and work sheets (Payable to instructor)
