Promote the area farmer
Animals are on display for their beautiful fiber, surrounded by their shepherds who can speak for them and educate a curious public. We provide services for farmers as well. From shearing to product photography, we are dedicated to the enhancement of the business and the growth of the family farm.
Preserve the history of textiles in the SW VA NW NC region
Many of the classes and demonstrations feature traditional fiber arts
Raise up the next generation of fiber artists.
Through classes and demonstrations, the festival hopes to encourage novices to dive into the fiber arts, and expand the skills and knowledge of the experienced artists.
The Blue Ridge Fiber Fest is a North Carolina registered non-profit. We are recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation. Your support of the fiber fest goes to advance the fiber arts in this regional area, and we are proud of the work we are accomplishing. We are directed by a six member board of directors.
